Low-Power Gm-C Filter Employing Current-Reuse Differential Difference Amplifiers

چکیده
This paper deals with the design of low-power, highperformance, continuous-time filters. The proposed OTA architecture employs current-reuse differential difference amplifiers in order to produce more power efficient Gm-C filter solutions. To demonstrate this, a 6th order low-pass Butterworth filter was designed in 0.18 μm CMOS achieving a 65-MHz -3-dB frequency, an in-band input-referred third-order intercept point of 12.0 dBm, and an input referred noise density of 40 nV/Hz, while only consuming 8.07 mW from a 1.8 V supply and occupying a total chip area of 0.21 mm with a power consumption of only 1.19 mW per pole.

An electronically tunable voltage-mode universal biquadratic filter with one input and five output terminals employing differential difference current conveyor transconductance amplifiers (DDCCTAs) has been proposed. The proposed circuit uses only two DDCCTAs, two grounded resistors and two grounded capacitors. It can realize all the five standard biquadratic filter functions, namely lowpass, b...

Delivering high gain, low noise and good linearity simultaneously with low power consumption in fully-integrated CMOS low noise amplifiers (LNAs) has posed significant difficulty. This paper presents a 19 dB gain, 2.4 dB noise figure, common-gate common-source (CG-CS) single-ended LNA operating at 5.4 GHz. Using gm-boosting, current-reuse and transformer feedback techniques, the LNA mitigates s...
